Sabri Cherif came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Chedli Guendouz could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Rothwell's zone, Walid Bouraada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kader Tannoudji came out of the goal and Walid Bouraada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kader Tannoudji took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abid Touati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Rothwell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lounes Béchar to maneuver through the defense. Sabri Cherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rothwell's Lounes Béchar got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kader Tannoudji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asmil Tellidji, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walid Bouraada was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Rothwell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amar Bedjaoui to maneuver through the defense. If Sabri Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chedli Guendouz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabri Cherif in the 65th minute of the match. Asmil Tellidji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Kader Tannoudji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fathi Faudel during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liss United's Fathi Faudel got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabri Cherif in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chedli Guendouz saved Liss United from getting behind. Rothwell's Sabri Cherif got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kader Tannoudji showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walid Bouraada in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Sabri Cherif had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chedli Guendouz. Liss United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabri Cherif was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Sabri Cherif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute Sabri Cherif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chedli Guendouz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bendjedid Chebal hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jaber Benboudaoud, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
