Spectators: 6758 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Buba Cherrad took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Buba Cherrad came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Huntingdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buba Cherrad couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Huntingdon booed when Wigan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelmalek Mesli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Abdelnasser Mammeri in the 14th minute really tested Raouf Mekhloufi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anther Zeggaï in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raouf Mekhloufi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 22 played minutes Wigan got a freekick which was hit by Akar Abdelmoumene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buba Cherrad in the 23rd minute of play forced Wigan's goalkeeper Raouf Mekhloufi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Huntingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Khelaifia to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wigan's goalkeeper Raouf Mekhloufi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Wigan booed when Huntingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rayane Benguergoura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ziane Brahami was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ibrahim Kerfali was the one to do the kick off. Hassan Bella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achour Achiou's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Huntingdon's zone, Ibrahim Kerfali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hassan Bella came out of the goal and Ibrahim Kerfali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Huntingdon booed when Wigan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naoufel Kafi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Wigan's goal looked a bit too open when Buba Cherrad came free, but Raouf Mekhloufi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Ibrahim Kerfali fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Achour Achiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hassan Bella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ibrahim Kerfali's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Achour Achiou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Achour Achiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hassan Bella having to interfere. With a little luck, Huntingdon's Hassan Bella got control of the ball when Achour Achiou tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abdelmalek Mesli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hassan Bella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Achour Achiou got free with Hassan Bella in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ibrahim Kerfali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wigan's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
