Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mokhtar Boukhari made the kick off which started today's match. Afdal Bezzaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hafid Abdelghani having to interfere. If Afdal Bezzaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afdal Bezzaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pontefract's Taïeb Beloufa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lakhdar Larbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Mokhtar Boukhari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontefract's supporters rose to their feet, but Mokhtar Boukhari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Riad Benhelal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afdal Bezzaz in the 18th minute of play forced Pontefract's goalkeeper Hafid Abdelghani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Pontefract's Mokhtar Boukhari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Riad Benhelal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mokhtar Boukhari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Riad Benhelal having to make a save. In the 38th minute Mansour Boufroura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riad Benhelal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Khalil Belaout charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khalil Belaout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Goole's Khalil Belaout got a free kick in the 40th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Pontefract's Cheb Rodesli tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Goole players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pontefract were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afdal Bezzaz to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Afdal Bezzaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hafid Abdelghani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mansour Boufroura struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Riad Benhelal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontefract. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mokhtar Boukhari in the 59th minute of play forced Goole's goalkeeper Riad Benhelal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdel Belhadj during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Goole getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Abdel Belhadj hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mokhtar Boukhari kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Riad Benhelal. That made the score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Pontefract's Hafid Abdelghani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lakhdar Larbes in the 65th minute of play. Riad Benhelal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mokhtar Boukhari in the 68th minute of the match. Nacim Khendu's late challenge caught a Goole's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nacim Khendu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pontefract's Nacim Khendu got a free kick in the 70th minute. Afdal Bezzaz took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hafid Abdelghani. Hafid Abdelghani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Afdal Bezzaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Afdal Bezzaz sped through Pontefract's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hafid Abdelghani. 92 minutes into the match, Goole's goal looked a bit too open when Mokhtar Boukhari came free, but Riad Benhelal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hafid Abdelghani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lakhdar Larbes in the 95th minute of the match.
