In the 5th minute, Afennich Djaadaoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. West Bromwich's Abdelmalik Segni got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afennich Djaadaoui in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Zemmamouche saved Sutton Valence AFC from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sutton Valence AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Amine Reda Madouni walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Khalil Chadli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelaziz Faudel, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Afennich Djaadaoui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hakim Zemmamouche made a huge save. The supporters of West Bromwich booed when Sutton Valence AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azzouz Zaccari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hakim Zemmamouche made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Afennich Djaadaoui sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Sutton Valence AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelmalik Segni came free, but Hakim Zemmamouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sutton Valence AFC's Hakim Zemmamouche got control of the ball when Afennich Djaadaoui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abdelmalik Segni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. After 34 minutes, Abdeldjalil Harkat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sutton Valence AFC and the West Bromwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Abdeldjalil Harkat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amine Reda Madouni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hakim Zemmamouche having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Azzouz Zaccari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton Valence AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Azzouz Zaccari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalil Chadli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39th play minutes Ales Benida shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Khalil Chadli and just under the crossbar into goal. Ales Benida might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khalil Chadli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ales Benida ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Sutton Valence AFC's zone, Afennich Djaadaoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Zemmamouche came out of the goal and Afennich Djaadaoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdelmalik Segni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hakim Zemmamouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 68 played minutes Sutton Valence AFC got a freekick which was hit by Azzouz Zaccari. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sutton Valence AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amine Reda Madouni was slow to take the kick. During this time West Bromwich's players had a chance to rest. Ghanim Djebbour hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Abdelmalik Segni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelaziz Faudel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelaziz Faudel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Khalil Chadli having to make a save. After having played for 84 minutes, Afennich Djaadaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Bromwich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afennich Djaadaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Khalil Chadli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ales Benida in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdelaziz Faudel in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Khalil Chadli saved West Bromwich from getting behind. Hakim Zemmamouche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afennich Djaadaoui in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match Amine Reda Madouni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hakim Zemmamouche showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Abdelmalik Segni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hakim Zemmamouche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sutton Valence AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
