Abdelhafid Aounellah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelmoumène Kourichi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walid Draï in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelhafid Aounellah saved Godmanchester from getting behind. In the last second Bellemou Kherroum throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mohamed Beaufort in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ferhat Laura Douibi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mohamed Beaufort came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Godmanchester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Beaufort couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walid Draï stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leigh on Sea AFC's Bellemou Kherroum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Beaufort in the 58th minute of play. Abdelmalek Benali's late challenge caught a Godmanchester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelmalek Benali helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Godmanchester booed when Leigh on Sea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelmalek Benali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bellemou Kherroum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferhat Laura Douibi in the 60th minute of play. Abdelhafid Aounellah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walid Draï's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The attack was good, but when Walid Draï in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Walid Draï's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdelhafid Aounellah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walid Draï in the 77th minute of play forced Godmanchester's goalkeeper Abdelhafid Aounellah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Ferhat Laura Douibi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
