When Jussef Sellami came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Longwell Green United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jussef Sellami couldn't finish the play. Jussef Sellami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Baddi Medjoudj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Youcef Zaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shepshed City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Youcef Zaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baddi Medjoudj came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Longwell Green United's Khalida Izghen. But to his dismay, Khalida Izghen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Youcef Zaoui in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anter Hansali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khalida Izghen in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baddi Medjoudj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Longwell Green United's Anter Hansali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zine-Eddine Bensaïd in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zine-Eddine Bensaïd to make the kick off. Baddi Medjoudj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jussef Sellami in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Shepshed City's zone, Jussef Sellami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baddi Medjoudj came out of the goal and Jussef Sellami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salim Zeghoudi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zine-Eddine Bensaïd in the 58th minute of play forced Longwell Green United's goalkeeper Anter Hansali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Youcef Zaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baddi Medjoudj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jussef Sellami, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Youcef Zaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, Shepshed City's Youcef Zaoui made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anter Hansali was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Longwell Green United's Zahir Touhami got a free kick in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
