Coombe United's Atmane Belhadj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Coombe United from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Kamel Kourichi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atmane Belhadj was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Workington United's Bendjedid Chadli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamza Belghith in the 27th minute of play. Mouloud Hasni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atmane Belhadj having to interfere. Mouloud Hasni charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mouloud Hasni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Workington United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mouloud Hasni hit a great ball. Bendjedid Chadli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Oulhaci in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Workington United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rayane Kafi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamza Belghith in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bendjedid Chadli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Mohamed Oulhaci struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Bendjedid Chadli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coombe United. The Coombe United fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Coombe United's Mohamed Oulhaci looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 69 played minutes Workington United got a freekick which was hit by Riad Fetani. Coombe United's Salih Beaufort couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Workington United. 74 minutes into the game, one of Workington United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bendjedid Chadli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Oulhaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Kamel Kourichi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Mouloud Hasni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Workington United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mouloud Hasni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Coombe United's Abdelmalek Saâdi got a free kick in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
