Bachir Mazigh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seddik Fechtali having to interfere. If Aggur Louahla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Derby AFC's Aggur Louahla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seddik Fechtali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bachir Mazigh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bachir Mazigh scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seddik Fechtali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frawsen Cherrad during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Derby AFC booed when Malmesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frawsen Cherrad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Derby AFC's Nazim Bensaoula tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Liamine Feraoun hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Abdelhani Laref was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Abdenour Bestandji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mohamed Meskine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdenour Bestandji struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Mohamed Meskine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmesbury. 33 minutes into the game, Bachir Mazigh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Seddik Fechtali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aggur Louahla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seddik Fechtali having to interfere. Seddik Fechtali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aggur Louahla in the 48th minute of play. The Malmesbury players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Derby AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bachir Mazigh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Bachir Mazigh came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Derby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bachir Mazigh couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Derby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdenour Bestandji came free, but Mohamed Meskine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aggur Louahla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Seddik Fechtali when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abdenour Bestandji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Meskine having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zoheir Ali in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Meskine saved Derby AFC from getting behind. Bachir Mazigh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aggur Louahla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seddik Fechtali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mohamed Meskine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdenour Bestandji in the 75th minute of play. Zoheir Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Meskine having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Zoheir Ali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aggur Louahla's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Seddik Fechtali firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match was over Derby AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Malmesbury throughout the match.
