The audience was convinced that Boughera Benyagoub's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Madhil Akrour was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After 27th play minutes Lili Djebar shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Madhil Akrour and just under the crossbar into goal. Hachem Mouzaoui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rabah Khendu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes, Marwan Nasro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dewsbury and the Cheltenham players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the game, one of Dewsbury:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lili Djebar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lili Djebar was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Dewsbury's goal looked a bit too open when Lili Djebar came free, but Madhil Akrour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raïd Ioualalen might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hachem Mouzaoui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raïd Ioualalen ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 minutes of play, Dewsbury's Rabah Khendu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hachem Mouzaoui was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Lili Djebar in the 62nd minute of play forced Dewsbury's goalkeeper Madhil Akrour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boughera Benyagoub charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boughera Benyagoub the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cheltenham getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Boughera Benyagoub hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Rabah Khendu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cheltenham's Hachem Mouzaoui. Hachem Mouzaoui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lili Djebar in the 75th minute of play forced Dewsbury's goalkeeper Madhil Akrour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheltenham's Camil Sami got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismaël Oulhaci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lili Djebar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cheltenham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lili Djebar couldn't finish the play. Madhil Akrour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lili Djebar in the 94th minute of the match. Dewsbury's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
