Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lyes Abdelkrim in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zyad El Amri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Southend's Jawed Zeghbouche got a free kick in the 4th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Southend's goal looked a bit too open when Tarek Soumati came free, but Souad Arrache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Great Totham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southend the free kick. After 16 played minutes Great Totham got a freekick which was hit by Bassi Bella. Zyad El Amri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lyes Abdelkrim's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Souad Arrache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Issam Mami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Southend's goal looked a bit too open when Bassi Bella came free, but Souad Arrache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kasdi Otman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Souad Arrache. Southend's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Bassi Bella had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Souad Arrache. Southend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bassi Bella was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zyad El Amri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyes Abdelkrim, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Totham's goalkeeper Zyad El Amri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Souad Arrache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarek Soumati in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Lyes Abdelkrim rounded Great Totham's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lyes Abdelkrim made a kick off. In the 65th minute, Moncef Bouchnak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Southend's Souad Arrache got control of the ball when Issam Mami tried to sneak it across the goal line. Great Totham's Zyad El Amri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyes Abdelkrim in the 89th minute of play. Fayçal Larfaoui scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zyad El Amri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
