Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) Idras Nima made the kick off and thus started the match. After 11 played minutes Ely got a freekick which was hit by Chams Boukensa. In the 12th minute, Seddik Bouzid sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ely's Abderrahmane Boutabout didn't even have to move. 13 minutes into the match, Ely's goal looked a bit too open when Idras Nima came free, but Abderrahmane Boutabout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramzi Bentaala hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Abderrahmane Boutabout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafid Guellil in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Ferhat Moussa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giss Tellidji's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Abderrahmane Boutabout skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Yidir Lounis came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ely fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yidir Lounis couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Giss Tellidji managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Cowes's supporters rose to their feet, but Giss Tellidji was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abderrahmane Boutabout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute Idras Nima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abderrahmane Boutabout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yidir Lounis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Nadjib Ali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ely's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Cowes the free kick. A collision led to Ely getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nadjib Ali hit a great ball. Giss Tellidji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Abderrahmane Boutabout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The wind increased when Yidir Lounis made the kick off in the second half. When Akawel Sellal fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Cowes's protests and gave Akawel Sellal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to East Cowes getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Akawel Sellal hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Chams Boukensa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54 played minutes Ely got a freekick which was hit by Cheikha Khodri. If Idras Nima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Idras Nima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toufik Ghoumari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yidir Lounis in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giss Tellidji in the 68th minute of play forced Ely's goalkeeper Abderrahmane Boutabout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giss Tellidji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abderrahmane Boutabout having to interfere. Samir Ben Arfa's late challenge caught a East Cowes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samir Ben Arfa helped the player get up and apologised. Samir Ben Arfa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Idras Nima managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Cowes's supporters rose to their feet, but Idras Nima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abderrahmane Boutabout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hafid Guellil charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hafid Guellil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ely booed when East Cowes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hafid Guellil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toufik Ghoumari made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ferhat Moussa sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ely's zone, Idras Nima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abderrahmane Boutabout came out of the goal and Idras Nima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giss Tellidji took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abderrahmane Boutabout. Abderrahmane Boutabout dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Toufik Ghoumari made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ferhat Moussa sent off a good shot on target.
