With a left leg Jawed Bedroni saved Farnworth from getting behind. Jawed Bedroni didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Abdelhamid Metref showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rami Kouri, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Youssef Merah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jawed Bedroni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lammouri Hamrouche in the 28th minute of play forced Racing Constantine's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Metref to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Lammouri Hamrouche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelhamid Metref saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes, Elias Allahoum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Constantine and the Farnworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Elias Allahoum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 44 minutes, Hocine El Hadi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farnworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hocine El Hadi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Kamil Chaouchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farnworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kamil Chaouchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Racing Constantine's Massoud Cherrad got a free kick in the 55th minute. The long shot by Kader Aouni in the 56th minute really tested Abdelhamid Metref's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 61st minute, Hocine Merdaci made a precise shot to the right of Jawed Bedroni. Farnworth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The audience was convinced that Hocine Merdaci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jawed Bedroni was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Constantine's zone, Lammouri Hamrouche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelhamid Metref came out of the goal and Lammouri Hamrouche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdelhamid Metref made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine El Hadi in the 75th minute of play. Jawed Bedroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hocine Merdaci in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Racing Constantine booed when Farnworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamil Chaouchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hocine El Hadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hocine El Hadi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Racing Constantine's Abdelhamid Metref proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Constantine from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Farnworth had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
