Henrique Fontão had several of the Boscastle's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marcelo Lentilha as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 21st minute, Henrique Fontão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Odemira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Peterlee booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Odemira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Fontão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Lentilha having to interfere. If Gregório Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Lentilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregório Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Boscastle's goal looked a bit too open when Nito Viegas came free, but Marcelo Lentilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregório Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Lentilha having to interfere. Henrique Fontão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Fontão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Marcelo Lentilha made a huge save. Gregório Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Marcelo Lentilha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Manarte was the one to do the kick off. The long shot by Hector Malheiro in the 57th minute really tested Zé Maurito's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 58 minutes into the game, Hector Manarte lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Zé Maurito. Marcelo Lentilha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregório Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Marcelo Lentilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Fontão, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Fontão in the 68th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Marcelo Lentilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Peterlee booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Odemira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Henrique Fontão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peterlee fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boscastle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
