Hernani Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Quilempan in the 24th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Hortêncio Moco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congleton's Miguel Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Quilempan got free with Hernani Bastos in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 90 minutes, Hortêncio Moco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammersmith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Moco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Flavio Quilempan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Congleton's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
