Spectators: 6979 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1979, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ambrósio Dos Santos made the kick off which started today's match. Ebley FC's Saúl Novais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ebley FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Meneses in the 12th minute of play forced Bacup AFC's goalkeeper Hector Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saúl Novais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrósio Dos Santos in the 16th minute of the match. Paulo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emílio Meneses's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Bacup AFC's Paulo Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Ambrósio Dos Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saúl Novais. Ambrósio Dos Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Ebley FC's Saúl Novais got control of the ball when Edgar Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Gonçalves took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saúl Novais. Saúl Novais dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Hipólito Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, Ebley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Dikaté to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Ambrósio Dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bacup AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ebley FC the free kick. After having played for 47 minutes, Emílio Meneses managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ebley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Meneses was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Meneses stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Paulo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Hipólito Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emílio Meneses recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Hipólito Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ebley FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 63rd minute Ambrósio Dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saúl Novais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Meneses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipólito Fonseca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Hector Jacinto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Bacup AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Vítor Jacinto hit a great ball. Hipólito Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match Viveque Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Jacinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emílio Meneses received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hector Jacinto came out and tried to block the shot, but Emílio Meneses slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrósio Dos Santos in the 88th minute of play forced Ebley FC's goalkeeper Saúl Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Paulo Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacup AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saúl Novais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
