In the 13th match minute, Ilfracombe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Freire to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Evandro Mulenza FC's Pedro Nascimento seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pedro Nascimento the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Evandro Mulenza FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pedro Nascimento had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Evandro Mulenza FC! When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Ilfracombe United's João Carlos Pereira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Custódio Rochedo. Evandro Mulenza FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Akwa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Canales having to interfere. Hernani Amado charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Amado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Ilfracombe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Amado to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Hernani Amado notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Evandro Mulenza FC's Custódio Rochedo. Custódio Rochedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Vila-Santa was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Vila-Santa in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Custódio Rochedo saved Evandro Mulenza FC from getting behind. When Heitor Freire fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilfracombe United's protests and gave Heitor Freire a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ilfracombe United's Heitor Freire got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tozé Varanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Camarinha kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Custódio Rochedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ilfracombe United's zone, Rolando Godinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Canales came out of the goal and Rolando Godinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Evandro Mulenza FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Vila-Santa came free, but Custódio Rochedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Custódio Rochedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tozé Varanda in the 94th minute of play. Tozé Varanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ilfracombe United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Evandro Mulenza FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
