In the 22nd minute, Tozé Dikaté hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Albertino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Otterham AFC's Lourenço Lourenço slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernani Cunha . That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Hélio Teive received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rui Lima Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Lima Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Custódio Gonçalves in the 37th minute of the match. Otterham AFC's Rui Lima Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Teive in the 39th minute of play. When Tozé Dikaté fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otterham AFC's protests and gave Tozé Dikaté a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Lourenço got free with Hernani Cunha in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Custódio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beaconsfield City's supporters rose to their feet, but Custódio Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Lima Clemente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélio Teive was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Otterham AFC's Luís Apalanga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernani Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Luís Apalanga kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 62 played minutes Beaconsfield City got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Jacinto. 63 minutes into the match, Beaconsfield City's goal looked a bit too open when Lopo Jacaré came free, but Hernani Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Albertino Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Lima Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Teive in the 71st minute of play. Albertino Jacinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Lima Clemente. Otterham AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Apalanga in the 78th minute of play forced Beaconsfield City's goalkeeper Hernani Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Lima Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Lourenço, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Hélio Teive who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Otterham AFC's Rui Lima Clemente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Otterham AFC had won after a very even match.
