Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Taverham's Henrique Galão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henrique Galão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alda De Matos having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Firmino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alda De Matos. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Hove AFC's goalkeeper Alda De Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Nascimento. Alda De Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Galão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodrigo Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 20 played minutes Hove AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Gonçalves. 21 minutes into the match, Taverham's Hipólito Rochedo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alda De Matos. Hove AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Hove AFC's Paulo Akwa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrósio Jaka Jamba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Hove AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jorge Gonçalves hit a great ball. With his leg Alda De Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Taverham's Rodrigo Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Rebello in the 40th minute of the match. Paulo Akwa took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ambrósio Jaka Jamba. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Henrique Galão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alda De Matos having to interfere. Henrique Galão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Akwa was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Taverham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Firmino to maneuver through the defense. Taverham's Ambrósio Jaka Jamba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Taverham from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Rodrigo Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute Paulo Akwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrósio Jaka Jamba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Taverham got a freekick which was hit by Emirares Vasques. Alda De Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Akwa in the 85th minute of play. Alda De Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Galão in the 90th minute of the match. When Taverham's Rodrigo Nascimento in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hove AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Alda De Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Galão, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Rodrigo Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Alda De Matos. Hove AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Hove AFC's Alda De Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Meneses in the 98th minute of play.
