The coaching staff of Huambo Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emílio Sampaio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Huambo Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Henrique Galão struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Fábio Galão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taverham. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Galão in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Galão saved Huambo Futebol Clube from getting behind. Fábio Galão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Galão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fábio Galão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Galão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Galão having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huambo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Fábio Galão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Henrique Galão made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Huambo Futebol Clube's zone, Henrique Galão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Galão came out of the goal and Henrique Galão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 52 minutes into the game, Taverham's Rodrigo Nascimento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Galão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rodrigo Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fábio Galão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Henrique Galão came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Taverham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Galão couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Rodrigo Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Fábio Galão. Huambo Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 75 minutes into the match, Huambo Futebol Clube's Henrique Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrósio Jaka Jamba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Huambo Futebol Clube's Fábio Galão got control of the ball when Rodrigo Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line.
