The tension between the Taverham and the FC VALENTES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC VALENTES booed when Taverham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Meneses didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes, Rui Rebello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC VALENTES and the Taverham players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taverham's Custódio Borges got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, FC VALENTES's Tiago Maurito tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Tozé Mendes in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. During the 15th minute of the match Paulo Meneses completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulo Meneses a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Taverham's Paulo Meneses got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Tozé Mendes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ambrósio Jaka Jamba, passed just outside the right post. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tozé Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Firmino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Nascimento's late challenge caught a FC VALENTES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Taverham got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Nascimento. FC VALENTES's Marcelo Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodrigo Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Taverham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Pedro Firmino hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tiago Maurito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ambrósio Jaka Jamba. Taverham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henrique Galão hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taverham's zone, Tozé Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba came out of the goal and Tozé Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tozé Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Tozé Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Curvelo made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Rodrigo Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tozé Mendes in the 59th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Taverham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipólito Rochedo to maneuver through the defense. Tozé Mendes struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC VALENTES. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Akwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC VALENTES were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Taverham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Maurito took the corner. 77 minutes into the match, Taverham's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Gonçalves came free, but Ambrósio Jaka Jamba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Taverham's Pedro Firmino got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tozé Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Tozé Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taverham's Ambrósio Jaka Jamba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 minutes, Tozé Mendes made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Taverham's Ambrósio Jaka Jamba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Tozé Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tozé Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC VALENTES's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
