Gregório Bouça came out of the goal and Rolando Akwa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Simão Curvelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcelo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Petro de Luanda booed when FC VALENTES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Rebello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd match minute, FC VALENTES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Akwa to maneuver through the defense. Rui Rebello kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nito Curvelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Curvelo was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. If Marcelo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

52 minutes into the match, Petro de Luanda's goal looked a bit too open when Tozé Mendes came free, but Gregório Bouça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nito Curvelo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Curvelo saved FC VALENTES from getting behind. Nito Curvelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Tozé Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregório Bouça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Petro de Luanda's Nito Curvelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Curvelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petro de Luanda's Nito Curvelo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Nito Curvelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Curvelo. FC VALENTES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nito Curvelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Petro de Luanda's Paulo Regalado got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gregório Bouça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tozé Mendes in the 86th minute of the match. When Nito Curvelo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Petro de Luanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nito Curvelo couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
