The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Otterham AFC's zone, Rodrigo Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With an all-out effort, Taverham's Rui Lima Clemente threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrique Galão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Luís Apalanga fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otterham AFC's protests and gave Luís Apalanga a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Apalanga kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Hipólito Rochedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Lima Clemente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodrigo Nascimentos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Rui Lima Clemente to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Taverham booed when Otterham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Apalanga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Henrique Galão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taverham's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Galão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 34 played minutes, Otterham AFC's Lopo Jacaré shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ambrósio Jaka Jamba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The penalty shot was made by Lopo Jacaré , who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taverham's Ambrósio Jaka Jamba. 0-1. When Emirares Vasques came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Taverham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emirares Vasques couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Taverham booed when Otterham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tozé Dikaté didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After 52 played minutes Otterham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Pedrosa. 54 minutes into the match, Otterham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Nascimento came free, but Rui Lima Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albertino Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrósio Jaka Jamba having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Otterham AFC's goalkeeper Rui Lima Clemente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Lima Clemente having to interfere. Otterham AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Taverham's much stronger midfield.
