With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Malafaia in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Manarte saved Bentworth from getting behind. Ailton Montinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastián Fontão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. David Akwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sagrada Esperança's zone, Edgar Zamora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Akwa came out of the goal and Edgar Zamora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Manarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tozé Varanda in the 13th minute of play. If Tozé Varanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Manarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tozé Varanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Bentworth got a freekick which was hit by Zé Lourenço. In the 22nd minute of the match Henrique Regalado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Manarte skillfully saved the ball. If Ailton Montinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tozé Varanda took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Manarte. Jorge Manarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Tozé Varanda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Manarte. Bentworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tozé Varanda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ailton Montinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Sagrada Esperança were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

55 minutes into the match, Bentworth's goalkeeper Jorge Manarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ailton Montinho. When Sagrada Esperança's Tozé Varanda in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Tozé Varanda notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bentworth's Jorge Manarte. Jorge Manarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 87 minutes, Tozé Varanda made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bentworth's Jorge Manarte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bentworth's Jorge Manarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Malafaia in the 96th minute of play. Tozé Varanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jorge Manarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sagrada Esperança's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
