In the 5th minute Cláudio Matta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SCPILHA getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Toni Duarte hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match Luís Da Costa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Lima Clemente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Balduíno Galão charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balduíno Galão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, SCPILHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Duarte to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Cláudio Matta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Magno Lourenço recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Lima Clemente. Magno Lourenço showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 25 minutes of play, Folkestone's Miguel Bouça made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Lima Clemente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miguel Bouça struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Afonso Lima Clemente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Folkestone. Fábio Amado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Afonso Lima Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Toni Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SCPILHA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Folkestone the free kick. Toni Duarte hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. SCPILHA's Afonso Lima Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Amado in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Bouça in the 34th minute of play forced SCPILHA's goalkeeper Afonso Lima Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Lima Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nito Lourenço in the 36th minute of play. Afonso Lima Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Bouça , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magno Lourenço sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Lourenço to make the kick off. Afonso Lima Clemente came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Folkestone's Fábio Amado. But to his dismay, Fábio Amado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Magno Lourenço scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Lima Clemente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Lima Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nito Lourenço, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SCPILHA's Toni Duarte got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Bouça in the 64th minute of play forced SCPILHA's goalkeeper Afonso Lima Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The goalkeeper, Afonso Lima Clemente, was totally fooled by Folkestone's Luís Da Costa, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 77 minutes into the game, Cláudio Matta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonso Lima Clemente. Miguel Lima Clemente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonso Lima Clemente was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nito Lourenço showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-5 in the 86 minute of play.
