Carlos Pedrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alão Caneças having to interfere. When Alda Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Yarmouth's protests and gave Alda Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for F.C.BARCELONA. Hipólito Curvelo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alão Caneças. 0-1. The supporters of Great Yarmouth booed when F.C.BARCELONA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrósio Fernandes Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Caneças, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Nascimento went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Eduardo Caneças shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Emílio Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Pedrosa made a kick off. If Eduardo Caneças had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes F.C.BARCELONA got a freekick which was hit by Hipólito Curvelo. In the 59th minute of the match Ailton Ganete shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emílio Ramos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the match, F.C.BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Caneças came free, but Emílio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Caneças's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Eduardo Caneças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Ramos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARCELONA's Emirares Barreiros got a free kick in the 78th minute. Alda Cunha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emílio Ramos. F.C.BARCELONA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emirares Barreiros kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Simão Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Emílio Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Simão Nascimento put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emílio Ramos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Clérigo in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91stth minute of the game Eduardo Caneças who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.BARCELONA's Emílio Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. F.C.BARCELONA's Emílio Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Caneças in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of F.C.BARCELONA booed when Great Yarmouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ailton Dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Great Yarmouth fully deserved thier win.
