Spectators: 8438 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pedro Fontão got the match started through his kick off. Maurício Areosa made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Pedro Preto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Fontão in the 8th minute of play forced Street Fighter's goalkeeper Zé Caneças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Caneças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Ericeira in the 9th minute of the match. If Toni Ericeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Pedro Preto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Malvern's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Preto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 17th match minute, Malvern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Pegacho to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Edmundo Pegacho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malvern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Street Fighter the free kick. Edmundo Pegacho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The long shot by Custódio Teive in the 20th minute really tested Maurício Areosa 's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Malvern getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Edmundo Pegacho hit a great ball. Paulo Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Toni Ericeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Fontão in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Caneças saved Street Fighter from getting behind. If Pedro Fontão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39thth minute of the game Toni Ericeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Street Fighter's Zé Caneças was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Pedro Preto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Toni Ericeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Fontão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Maurício Areosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Maurício Areosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Preto, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Malvern's Pedro Fontão got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Fontão fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zé Caneças, passed just outside the right post. When Rodrigo Melo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Street Fighter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Melo couldn't finish the play. Toni Ericeira took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Caneças. Zé Caneças dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pedro Fontão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zé Caneças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Malvern's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Melo came free, but Maurício Areosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Pedro Preto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Areosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Toni Amado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
