FC VALENTE's Hélio Moco got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hortêncio Dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Canales in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Flavio Canales made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Dos Santos. FC VALENTE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 43 minutes into the match, Rolando Fernandes Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Dos Santos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Apalanga got free with Hortêncio Dos Santos in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute Rolando Fernandes Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hortêncio Dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Apalanga in the 68th minute. Tadeu Canales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, FC VALENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Canales came free, but Hortêncio Dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Whittlesey FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
