The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Hortêncio Quilempan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Hortêncio Quilempan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Intocaveis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Quilempan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Manarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Albertino Almeida put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar Zamora. After 19 played minutes Os Intocaveis got a freekick which was hit by Felíx Tremura. When Albertino Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Olimpianos United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Almeida couldn't finish the play. Albertino Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Manarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Zamora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaristo Manarte ran back to his position shaking his head. Albertino Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Olimpianos United's Albertino Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Zamora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 41st minute, Paulo Da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Regalado kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Olimpianos United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Manarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute, Evaristo Manarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Zamora. The goal made the score 0-3. Albertino Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Edgar Zamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Olimpianos United's Albertino Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Zamora narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Dos Santos's late challenge caught a Os Intocaveis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. Nuno Dos Santos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpianos United's zone, Paulo Mantorras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Correia came out of the goal and Paulo Mantorras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Albertino Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Quilempan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Os Intocaveis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Olimpianos United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
