Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felíx Valies started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Sebastián Boal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC VALENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastián Boal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Hélio Moco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Abbey Wood's Hortêncio Dos Santos threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 10 minutes into the game, Abbey Wood's Ailton Ermida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Dos Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. FC VALENTE were furious when Ubaldo Meneses was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 15 minutes into the match, Abbey Wood's Paulo Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hortêncio Dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match, Luís Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hortêncio Dos Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 18 minutes into the match, Felíx Valies dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hortêncio Dos Santos, 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Toni Quilempan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Jacinto. Abbey Wood's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toni Quilempan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 25 minutes into the match, FC VALENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fonseca came free, but Hortêncio Dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Abbey Wood's zone, Hélio Moco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Jacinto came out of the goal and Hélio Moco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hélio Moco managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC VALENTE's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Moco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Malafaia kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ambrósio Jaka Jamba's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Hortêncio Dos Santos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hortêncio Dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fonseca in the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Hortêncio Dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ailton Ermida in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fonseca in the 58th minute of play forced FC VALENTE's goalkeeper Hortêncio Dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio Moco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Edgar Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Toni Quilempan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC VALENTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Quilempan couldn't finish the play. Tadeu Canales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Moco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Toni Quilempan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC VALENTE's supporters rose to their feet, but Toni Quilempan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailton Ermida in the 71st minute of play forced FC VALENTE's goalkeeper Hortêncio Dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Ailton Ermida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Felíx Valies cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hortêncio Dos Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgar Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Moco in the 79th minute. FC VALENTE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vítor Malafaia in the 81st minute. The corner led to FC VALENTE's Evaristo Maurtio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the FC VALENTE defense, Luís Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Dos Santos. The FC VALENTE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Dos Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute Luís Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Quilempan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Jacinto having to interfere. Hortêncio Dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fonseca in the 93rd minute of the match. Hortêncio Dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrósio Jaka Jamba in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Abbey Wood players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
