Edgar Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Canales in the 4th minute of the match. Pompílio Serineu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Dikaté having to interfere. Edgar Zamora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Apalanga in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Paulo Mantorras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Dikaté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Apalanga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Zamora having to make a save. Hortêncio Quilempan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Dikaté read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Flavio Canales got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A long shot from Ailton Sá in the 43rd minute of play was well struck, but Edgar Zamora made a really good save at the right post. If Paulo Mantorras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Quilempan to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavio Canales struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Edgar Zamora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whittlesey FC. After a defensive mix-up in Os Intocaveis's zone, Rolando Fernandes Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Zamora came out of the goal and Rolando Fernandes Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute of the match Ailton Sá shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Zamora showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Os Intocaveis's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Fernandes Braga came free, but Edgar Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Rolando Fernandes Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Zamora prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69thth minute of the game Rolando Fernandes Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Intocaveis's Edgar Zamora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Custódio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Custódio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whittlesey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Custódio Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Zamora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80thth minute of the game Rolando Fernandes Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Intocaveis's Edgar Zamora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute Hortêncio Quilempan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Dikaté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Fernandes Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Edgar Zamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Os Intocaveis got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Tenória. Custódio Montinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgar Zamora. Os Intocaveis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rolando Fernandes Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Zamora was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Whittlesey FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
