An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Amado in the 9th minute of play forced Olimpianos United's goalkeeper Luís Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Nuno Dos Santos made a precise shot to the right of Rui Rebello. Wymondhaq's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rui Rebello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Rolando Jaka Jamba notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Olimpianos United's Luís Correia. Luís Correia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Dos Santos got free with Luís Correia in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Wymondhaq's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Dos Santos came free, but Rui Rebello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Rebello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Almeida in the 23rd minute of the match. Rui Rebello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Manarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 30 minutes, Ambrósio Clérigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wymondhaq's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrósio Clérigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ivó Pepetela came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Wymondhaq fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivó Pepetela couldn't finish the play. After 33 played minutes Olimpianos United got a freekick which was hit by Quim Quilempan. Evaristo Manarte took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Rebello. Rui Rebello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, Olimpianos United's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrósio Clérigo came free, but Luís Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Jaka Jamba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Correia having to interfere. Wymondhaq's Ambrósio Clérigo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.

Luís Correia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Pedro Amado struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Saúl Vasques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Correia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Evaristo Dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpianos United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wymondhaq the free kick. After 59 played minutes Olimpianos United got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Dos Santos. Evaristo Manarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Rebello having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Wymondhaq got a freekick which was hit by Luís Flores. 64 minutes into the match, Wymondhaq's goalkeeper Rui Rebello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertino Almeida. Flavio Malheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Rolando Jaka Jamba sped through Olimpianos United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Correia. In the 74th minute, Pedro Amado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Evaristo Manarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Rebello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
