Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lopo Borges took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Emílio Vasques came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Worcester AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Vasques couldn't finish the play. Miguel Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Polido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. A hard shot 11 in the game by Paulo Dikaté from a close distance when the talented Miguel De Matos managed to make a qualified save. Kimpton's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Worcester AF defense, Miguel Jacinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Polido. The Worcester AF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Polido should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Kimpton's Miguel De Matos got control of the ball when Rolando Carvoeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Carvoeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Miguel De Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quim De Matos's late challenge caught a Worcester AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quim De Matos helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Kimpton got a freekick which was hit by Quim De Matos. After 27 played minutes Paulo Dikaté rounded Kimpton's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. 30 minutes into the game, Lopo Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Pedro Polido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 minutes, Luís Firmino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kimpton and the Worcester AF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Firmino kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopo Borges in the 40th minute of play forced Worcester AF's goalkeeper Pedro Polido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Miguel Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Polido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Rogério Tenória had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Polido. Worcester AF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogério Tenória was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-5 lead.

Miguel De Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Vasques in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Emílio Vasques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neide Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel De Matos having to make a save. Rogério Tenória received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pedro Polido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Worcester AF's Camilo Fontão seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camilo Fontão the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Worcester AF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camilo Fontão had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Rogério De Matos placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Vasques in the 64th minute of play forced Kimpton's goalkeeper Miguel De Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Kimpton's Miguel Jacinto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Polido. Pedro Polido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. A hard shot by Rogério De Matos from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Pedro Polido's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The crowd rose to their feet as Lopo Borges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Polido. That made the score 2-8 in the 74 minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Kimpton's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Vasques came free, but Miguel De Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ailton Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Pedro Polido made a huge save. Rolando Carvoeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel De Matos having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, Kimpton's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Carvoeiro came free, but Miguel De Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rogério De Matos fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kimpton's protests and gave Rogério De Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kimpton's Rogério De Matos got a free kick in the 88th minute. Emílio Vasques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel De Matos having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Emílio Vasques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel De Matos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-8. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kimpton walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
