A collision led to Petro de Luanda getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Quim Pedrosa hit a great ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Lopo Carvoeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luanda Boys Academy's Toni Teive was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toni Teive showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopo Carvoeiro in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Petro de Luanda's Toni Caetano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Teive made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luanda Boys Academy's Toni Teive played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lopo Carvoeiro in the 32nd minute of play. Toni Teive made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Caetano in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Quim Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Teive saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Luanda Boys Academy booed when Petro de Luanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Canales didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lopo Carvoeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopo Carvoeiro in the 84th minute of play forced Luanda Boys Academy's goalkeeper Toni Teive to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Teive was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petro de Luanda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
