Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 8 minutes of play, Petro de Luanda's Toni Caetano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Polido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Worcester AF's Pedro Polido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lopo Carvoeiro in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Worcester AF's Marcelo Varanda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Sampaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, Worcester AF's Pedro Polido got control of the ball when Toni Caetano tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Dikaté in the 25th minute of play forced Petro de Luanda's goalkeeper David Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Polido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quim Pedrosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Petro de Luanda's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Carvoeiro came free, but David Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Dikaté made a kick off. Rolando Carvoeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. David Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Paulo Dikaté came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Worcester AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Dikaté couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, Petro de Luanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quim Pedrosa to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Lopo Carvoeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Polido. Worcester AF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lopo Carvoeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
