After a defensive mix-up in Hartlepool's zone, Lopo Carvoeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Russo came out of the goal and Lopo Carvoeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Da Costa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Hartlepool supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Petro de Luanda's performance. The match ended with a win for Petro de Luanda.
