One of Henley on Thames:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Petro de Luanda:s goal. Paulo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopo Carvoeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Quim Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes, Petro de Luanda's Hernani Duarte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Guedes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petro de Luanda reached it. The supporters of Petro de Luanda booed when Henley on Thames was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Abelaira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Lopo Carvoeiro made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Guedes. Henley on Thames's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Carvoeiro to make the kick off. In the 79th minute of the match, Toni Caetano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo Guedes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Cláudio Carvoeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Toni Caetano sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Heitor Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Petro de Luanda getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Quim Pedrosa hit a great ball. Cláudio Carvoeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Sampaio having to interfere. Paulo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Miguel Canales sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Petro de Luanda eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
