After 3 minutes, Custódio Canales made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. West Drayton FC's Marílio Pepetela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When West Drayton FC's Toni Amado in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Runcorn's goalie prevented a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Toni Amado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nuno Curvelo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. West Drayton FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Custódio Canales 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. In the 17th minute, Rolando Malheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Toni Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Curvelo was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Amado in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Curvelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. West Drayton FC's Marílio Pepetela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Custódio Canales in the 28th minute of play. When West Drayton FC's Toni Amado in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 34thth minute of the game Toni Amado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Runcorn's Nuno Curvelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rui Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runcorn's protests and gave Rui Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Lourenço Rebello was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, one of West Drayton FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for West Drayton FC. After 46 played minutes Runcorn got a freekick which was hit by Alda Bastos. The corner ended in Toni Amado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Runcorn's Nuno Curvelo did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nuno Curvelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alda Sampaio in the 60th minute of the match. Alda Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nuno Curvelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alda Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 78 minutes of play Runcorn's Rui Cruz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rui Cruz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Nuno Curvelo made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Alda Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the game, Lourenço Polido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Drayton FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Runcorn the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, West Drayton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Polido to maneuver through the defense. Alda Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Curvelo having to interfere. Alda Sampaio struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Nuno Curvelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Drayton FC. Alda Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nuno Curvelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Runcorn could leave the field as winners, despite West Drayton FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
