Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Carlos Valies notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Catford City's Maurício Malafaia. Maurício Malafaia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurício Malafaia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Valies in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Skelmersdale got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Nascimento. The supporters of Skelmersdale booed when Catford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmano Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Skelmersdale's Carlos Valies broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Carlos Valies had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurício Malafaia. Catford City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Valies was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Skelmersdale's David Samakuva got a free kick in the 31st minute. Carlos Valies scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurício Malafaia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Valies in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurício Malafaia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Valies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Alda Bouça made the kick off in the second half. Maurício Malafaia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neide Da Costa in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Valies in the 60th minute of play forced Catford City's goalkeeper Maurício Malafaia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Miguel Vila-Santa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Miguel Vila-Santa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurício Malafaia. That made the score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. If Carlos Valies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivó Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivó Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Catford City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivó Borges to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Skelmersdale's Miguel Vila-Santa got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Catford City's zone, Carlos Valies stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Malafaia came out of the goal and Carlos Valies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Valies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Malafaia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Catford City's zone, Carlos Valies stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Malafaia came out of the goal and Carlos Valies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Lourenço kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Catford City's Maurício Malafaia got control of the ball when Miguel Vila-Santa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Valies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Malafaia having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Skelmersdale left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Catford City.
