Spectators: 9229 (Terracing: 6923, Seating: 2123, VIP seats: 183) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Albertino Da Costa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Carlos Valies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Valies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e BENFICA's Hipólito Mendes got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 13th match minute, Skelmersdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Custódio Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Magno Samakuva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viveque Matta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Skelmersdale's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Da Costa came free, but Viveque Matta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Samakuva hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. It was a brilliant solo performance by Skelmersdale's Heitor Galão when he shot the ball into the net to 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Carlos Valies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Valies struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Afonso Da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skelmersdale. In the 32nd minute Hipólito Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viveque Matta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neide Dos Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Viveque Matta. Skelmersdale's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute, David Samakuva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Valies's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Afonso Da Costa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carlos Valies blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Da Costa having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Valies to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Carlos Valies got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Heitor Galão fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skelmersdale's protests and gave Heitor Galão a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Skelmersdale getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Heitor Galão hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Neide Dos Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viveque Matta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 64 played minutes Skelmersdale got a freekick which was hit by Quim Almedia. A collision led to Skelmersdale getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Carlos Valies hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Carlos Valies fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Afonso Da Costa moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Carlos Valies scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Valies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Da Costa having to interfere. Carlos Valies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Afonso Da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Vila-Santa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skelmersdale's Carlos Valies got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carlos Valies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
