The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 19th minute, Afonso Meneses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Brierley Hill Uqewnited getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Edmundo Malheiro hit a great ball. Tiago Ericeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Novais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Brierley Hill Uqewnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Onas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Alda Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recreativo FC®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alda Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Teodoro Onas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Pepetela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
