A collision led to Clube Recreativo Operário getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Lopo Pegacho hit a great ball. Edmundo Areosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avelino Novais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clube Recreativo Operário's Diamantino Areosa got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Lopo Pegacho fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Recreativo Operário's protests and gave Lopo Pegacho a yellow card for diving instead. Lopo Pegacho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Rodrigo Malafaia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Custódio Pereira during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Desportivo da Huíla got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Pereira. Hector Godinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hortêncio Zamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hector Godinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Recreativo Operário's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Godinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Zamora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hortêncio Zamora came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Recreativo Operário's Hector Godinho. But to his dismay, Hector Godinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Hector Godinho struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hortêncio Zamora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Recreativo Operário. In the 56th match minute, Desportivo da Huíla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Canales to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Mantorras hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Hector Godinho charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Godinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Clube Recreativo Operário got a freekick which was hit by Hector Godinho. 82 minutes into the match, Edmundo Areosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Avelino Novais. Clube Recreativo Operário's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Areosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 89th minute, Clube Recreativo Operário's Hector Godinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Desportivo da Huíla's goalkeeper Hortêncio Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clube Recreativo Operário's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
