After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tiago Bouça managed to get in a good position for a shot. BASE ANGOLANA's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Bouça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Curvelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BASE ANGOLANA's Teta Amado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Cruz in the 25th minute of play. Teta Amado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Canales in the 31st minute of play forced BASE ANGOLANA's goalkeeper Teta Amado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teta Amado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Ermida's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When Luís Ermida came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Runcorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Ermida couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Luís Ermida managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Rui Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runcorn's protests and gave Rui Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Runcorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Cruz to maneuver through the defense.
