Spectators: 10850 (Terracing: 8139, Seating: 2495, VIP seats: 216) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albertino Caneças kicked off to start the match. Petro Atlético's Neide Jacaré played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Abelaira in the 2nd minute of play. After 6 played minutes Altonsdf got a freekick which was hit by Ambrósio Barreiros. With a little luck, Altonsdf's Hipólito Duarte got control of the ball when Albertino Caneças tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Abelaira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neide Jacaré having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Alão Quilempan took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Hipólito Duarte to make any attempt to save it. Manuel Vila-Santa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neide Jacaré having to interfere. If Manuel Abelaira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Petro Atlético booed when Altonsdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Abelaira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Petro Atlético's Albertino Caneças in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Altonsdf's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Manuel Abelaira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Neide Jacaré was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Emílio Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Neide Jacaré made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Jacinto in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Manuel Abelaira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altonsdf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Abelaira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rogério Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Altonsdf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Manuel Vila-Santa struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Neide Jacaré didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altonsdf. In the 67th minute, Ambrósio Barreiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altonsdf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Manuel Abelaira's late challenge caught a Petro Atlético's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Abelaira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Manuel Vila-Santa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard, long distance shot from Ambrósio Barreiros flew over the goal. Manuel Vila-Santa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Neide Jacaré firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 87 minutes, Manuel Vila-Santa made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. Petro Atlético's Neide Jacaré tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogério Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Manuel Vila-Santa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altonsdf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Vila-Santa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Vila-Santa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Neide Jacaré tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Petro Atlético supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Altonsdf's performance. The match ended with a win for Altonsdf.
