Spectators: 6814 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jocob Mangope made the kick off which started today's match. When Siyabonge Thebe came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC Chelsea ZA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siyabonge Thebe couldn't finish the play. When FC Chelsea ZA's Eric Thabang in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kameelhoek's goalie prevented a goal. When Eric Thabang came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the FC Chelsea ZA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Thabang couldn't finish the play. David Mothobi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Webb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Kameelhoek got a freekick which was hit by Tebogo Mufadi. After recieving a nice pass, FC Chelsea ZA's Freddie Nauseb tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Eric Thabang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lazarus Fortuin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Thabang went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, FC Chelsea ZA's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Webb came free, but David Mothobi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timothy Thompson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Timothy Thompson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. David Mothobi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Webb struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. David Mothobi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kameelhoek. In the 42nd match minute, FC Chelsea ZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Mkhwanazi to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milton Webb made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Milton Webb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Chelsea ZA's David Mothobi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th match minute, Kameelhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shumani Radebe to maneuver through the defense. Timothy Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Timothy Thompson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kameelhoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy Thompson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Mothobi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute Milton Webb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mothobi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Collins kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Freddie Nauseb missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 66 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Lazarus Fortuin right hand side. In the 67th match minute, Kameelhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Legako Klein to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eric Thabang managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Chelsea ZA's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Thabang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lazarus Fortuin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lazarus Fortuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jocob Mangope, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Kameelhoek's Boyisani Nomvete got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Kameelhoek's Timothy Thompson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Mothobi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chelsea ZA's zone, Milton Webb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Mothobi came out of the goal and Milton Webb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Jocob Mangope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazarus Fortuin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Chelsea ZA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kameelhoek.
