Blue Birds FC's Timothy Madiya got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blue Birds FC's Michael Madiba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Blue Birds FC from getting a goal against them. Thami Wanani kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Lindo Radebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shakeel Bandura in the 12th minute of play. Timothy Madiya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17thth minute of the game Timothy Madiya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Monsterlus's Lindo Radebe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19 minutes, Shakeel Bandura made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Monsterlus's Lindo Radebe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Blue Birds FC's Michael Madiba got control of the ball when Andre Collins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timothy Madiya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lindo Radebe having to make a save. Timothy Madiya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lindo Radebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Monsterlus getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Andre Collins hit a great ball. Timothy Madiya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lindo Radebe having to interfere. In the 39th minute Timothy Madiya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lindo Radebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Blue Birds FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Kerns made a kick off. Michael Madiba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Kerns's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Timothy Madiya sped through FC Monsterlus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lindo Radebe. Lindo Radebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Madiya, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Tomas Kerns ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Madiba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Tomas Kerns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lindo Radebe was a little too slow when Timothy Madiya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-3. The Blue Birds FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Blue Birds FC's Shakeel Bandura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the match, Shakeel Bandura notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of FC Monsterlus's Lindo Radebe. Lindo Radebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led Blue Birds FC's Wycliffe Mayoyo to fire away a dangerous shot which Lindo Radebe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Shakeel Bandura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Blue Birds FC's Timothy Madiya in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Monsterlus's goalie prevented a goal. Shakeel Bandura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Lindo Radebe made a huge save.
