Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Neilersdrif's Meshack Sephiri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Bellvue's Mpenza Roberts got control of the ball when Promise Mhlongo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mpenza Roberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meshack Sephiri in the 11th minute of the match. Neilersdrif's Jocob Mayoyo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mpenza Roberts but with some difficulty. Thabo Mkhize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hassan Thobejane came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Bellvue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hassan Thobejane couldn't finish the play. When Papi Etafia fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neilersdrif's protests and gave Papi Etafia a yellow card for diving instead. Meshack Sephiri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mpenza Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Meshack Sephiri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mpenza Roberts. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
54 minutes into the game, Neilersdrif's Promise Mhlongo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mpenza Roberts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Ntsume during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elias Ntsume kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Promise Mhlongo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neilersdrif's supporters crossed their fingers, but Promise Mhlongo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Meshack Sephiri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mpenza Roberts having to make a save. A collision led to Neilersdrif getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tyrell Kanku hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Promise Mhlongo in the 70th minute of play forced Bellvue's goalkeeper Mpenza Roberts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Meshack Sephiri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mpenza Roberts. Bellvue's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Meshack Sephiri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Promise Mhlongo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bellvue's Mpenza Roberts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Promise Mhlongo in the 83rd minute of play. Mabusela Tembe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Meshack Sephiri struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mpenza Roberts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neilersdrif. Meshack Sephiri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neilersdrif's Meshack Sephiri got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Meshack Sephiri came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Neilersdrif fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meshack Sephiri couldn't finish the play.
