After a rather tough play, FC Sebensa's Madolo Ntsume got a free kick in the 6th minute. Leon Mbheki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charles Pretorius. FC Sebensa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Etienne Mncube made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Kingston Mathibe sent off a good shot on target. If Fuzile Tembe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, FC Sebensa's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Mnisi came free, but Charles Pretorius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Madolo Ntsume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lebang Takalani charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lebang Takalani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lebang Takalani hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the game, Kingston Mathibe landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 24 minutes into the game, Leon King was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Groenvlei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Sebensa the free kick. A collision led to FC Groenvlei getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leon King hit a great ball. Alfred Mnisi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Charles Pretorius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Mnisi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Pretorius saved FC Sebensa from getting behind. The supporters of FC Sebensa booed when FC Groenvlei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kingston Mabele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hanile Maduna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Etienne Mncube made a huge save. A collision led to FC Sebensa getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Madolo Ntsume hit a great ball. Fuzile Tembe struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Etienne Mncube didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sebensa.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Mnisi made a kick off. Henry Koen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Pretorius having to interfere. Boyisani Steyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When FC Sebensa's Fuzile Tembe in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Groenvlei's goalie prevented a goal. Etienne Mncube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fuzile Tembe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Modise could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Charles Pretorius made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, FC Sebensa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madolo Ntsume to maneuver through the defense. Charles Pretorius didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Groenvlei's Alfred Mnisi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Pretorius. That made the score 0-2 after 77 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, FC Sebensa's Boyisani Steyn got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Alfred Mnisi rounded FC Sebensa's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Henry Koen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Charles Pretorius made a huge save. Etienne Mncube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fuzile Tembe in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 played minutes FC Groenvlei got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Kanku. The FC Sebensa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Groenvlei's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Groenvlei.
