Patrice Tshabalala stood somewhat misplaced when Takalani Thabang came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. If Takalani Thabang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Milton Thwala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrice Tshabalala. Milton Thwala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Milton Thwala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, tk15's Patrice Tshabalala got control of the ball when Takalani Thabang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alex Shoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Themba Shoba made a kick off. A collision led to Marburg getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Melusi Thokozani hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Marburg's Takalani Thabang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrice Tshabalala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milton Thwala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrice Tshabalala having to interfere. If Milton Thwala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Marburg were the better team. Marburg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
