An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazeer Wanani in the 22nd minute of play forced Gaandrik's goalkeeper Dean Sono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, one of Gaandrik:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Laher in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Sono saved Gaandrik from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Nazeer Wanani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dean Sono was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 36 played minutes Dikgang got a freekick which was hit by Lindo Thompson. Dumisane Mandela hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Silas Laher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Sono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nick Ntsume fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dikgang's protests and gave Nick Ntsume a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dikgang's Nick Ntsume got a free kick in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Gaandrik's Dean Sono got control of the ball when Nazeer Wanani tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Silas Laher took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Dean Sono to make any attempt to save it. In the 84th minute Silas Laher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Sono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Dikgang defense, Tebogo Wanani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jomo Laher. The Dikgang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jomo Laher should have stopped the shot. Nazeer Wananis short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Dean Sono to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
