FC Papfontein were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Mpungutyana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Shaheed Melele took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mthunzi Maduna got free with Ebrahim Tshabalala in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mpungutyana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
